Charger Athletes were able to leave the uniforms and sweats at home, and put on their dresses and ties for the second annual charger ball.
The ball was held Saturday, March 9, at the University of New Haven in the German Club. Athletes, and their choice of a guest, danced the night away. All sports teams were invited to this event, and the dress was semi-formal.
The dance was held from 8:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. The athletic trainers were also there to chaperon along with Larry Earnesty, the Assistant Director of Athletics for NCAA Compliance and Student Welfare, who all helped make the event possible.
There were snacks and drinks provided for the athletes, and the DJ spun remixes that kept all the guests dancing and having fun.
Tickets were two dollars for all athletes and three dollars for all non-athlete quests. Teams’ SAAC representatives sold tickets, and all the proceeds went to Make-A-Wish foundation.
