The SCOPE weekly movie only had one showing this week, and it looked like everyone wanted to see it. The movie this week was Horrible Bosses and the showing on Friday had the cafeteria full to capacity.
Over one hundred students showed up on Friday to see the hilarious comedy Horrible Bosses starring some really great actors. Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell, and Kevin Spacey played the bosses that were mean, making sexual advancements, or just plain psycho. And Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis played the employees that hated their jobs. I think everybody eventually has a boss they hate working for; this movie just took it to another level.
One night after having a few beers, Bateman, Day, and Sudeikis’ characters figured that the easiest way to resolve their work problems was to kill their bosses, because in this economy, who could afford to quit and find another job. And before they knew it, the three had all hired a hit man to help.
Just trying to watch these guys commit the worst crime out there and figure out how they were going to do so was hilarious. All the actors were fantastic and made the movie amazing. Which is probably the reason over one hundred students packed the cafeteria.
But I think the ice cream helped with that as well. That’s right; there was ice cream this week at the movie. There was both chocolate and vanilla, with your choice of Oreo cookies, M & M’s, rainbow sprinkles, cherries, and whipped cream for toppings. Between the movie and the ice cream, the night turned out to be fantastic!
The Film Committee from SCOPE has been working hard to make movies great, and they will continue to do so. So stay tuned for more movies, because there are some great ones to come, and the more movies you come to, the better chance you have at winning a free ticket to the movie theater!
