So the week started with a scream with SCOPE’s Halloween Haunted House and continued with more screams as SCOPE’s Film Committee showed the movie Fright Night on Tuesday and Friday in the Bartels Cafeteria.
This movie is about a young teenager who thinks that his new next door neighbor might be a vampire, played by Collin Ferrel. And what do you do when you suspect a vampire lives next door? You hire a professional vampire killer of course, played by David Tennant. The teenager, played by Anton Yelchin, is the one who hires the vampire killer to take care of this problem.
Of course, the movie had scary scenes where people may have died, but it also had some funny moments. Jokes always make things a little better. The movie did a great job representing the original from 1985 and was a good addition to a Halloween week.
