On Friday April 23rd, the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity will be hosting its first annual World Cup Soccer tournament. The SAE World Cup is being sponsored by “Powerade” and “Soccer with Aldwin”. The event start promptly at 4:30 in the afternoon and is a bracket-style soccer tournament of teams 5 vs. 5.
There will be well over $1,000 in giveaways to the winners and participants. On the sidelines, there will be soccer competitions such as a “chip-in contest” and a “juggling contest”. Teams are named after actual countries, and they can be assembled with 5-8 players on a team with the $5/person entry fee donated to the Children’s Miracle Network.
There will be roughly 100 shirts given away on a first-come-first-serve basis. Music at the event will be provided by “Terminal 110” (Keys to the City/Sergeant Peppers/Country Club). The Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity is hoping to generate a very exciting atmosphere on the University of New Haven campus while raising a good amount of money for the Children’s Miracle Network.
Again, the “SAE World Cup” is being sponsored by “Powerade” and “Soccer with Aldwin” and is being held on Friday April 23rd at 4:30 PM. If you are interested in participating in the event, please email the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at [email protected].
