Matthew Jeune and David Thomas competed at the 2012 NCAA Division II National Indoor Track and Field Championships.
The meet was held on Friday, March 9 in Mankato, Minn. Jeune and Thomas both placed eleventh in their respective events. This meet concluded the Indoor Track and Field season.
These two Chargers worked hard all season and proudly represented the University of New Haven’s Track and Field Team. For both of them, this was their first experience at the NCAA National Championship level.
Even though the season didn’t end the way they hoped it would, it was a great accomplishment for Jeune and Thomas. Jeune tied for eleventh place in the high jump with a height of 2.02 meters after three failed attempts to advance to 2.07 meters, and Thomas placed eleventh in the long jump with a posted jump of 7.07 meters in the championship.
