On Friday, December 3, SCOPE had an ice skating trip to the Sports Complex in Shelton, CT.
The ice skating rink was big enough for the seventy or so people from the school that attended the trip. Two buses were provided to and from the complex, and the ice skating and skate rentals were all free of charge to those who attended.
Besides waiting in the freezing cold outside to get onto the buses, the trip was a big success. There were students who were just learning how to skate all the way to the experience skaters that brought their own skates and outshined everyone on the ice. Of course, there were a few falls for some people, but that’s the fun of ice skating.
Once the night of skating was half way through, SCOPE asked the people at the rink to turn on the disco lights. It was really fun to skate with the fun lights on and the upbeat music that was playing.
Everyone looked like they had a great time, but also looked tired at the end of the trip. Overall, the ice skating trip to the Sports Complex in Shelton, CT was a big success! Trips like these really make the college experience memorable.
Great job SCOPE for putting on another great event! Hopefully there will be more ice skating trips next semester.
