On Sept. 26, homecoming will be in full swing with the football team playing Stonehill College and the official dedication of the Ralph F. DellaCamera Stadium. Before this excitement, homecoming will kick off at 10am with an Alumni brunch sponsored by the USGA: but anyone can come. After that, the Blueout Blowout Zone will be up and running, giving students, alumni, and community members a fun and safe place to tailgate. The Blueout Blowout Zone is an area set up at North Campus where clubs and organizations will be able to have a booth to advertise their club and show their spirit for the school. There will be judges grading each club and organization on their use of the homecoming theme (blue and football) within their booths. Clubs and organizations can register now to participate by going to Chargervoice.com and clicking on the “Blueout Blowout Zone” link on the left hand side of the page. Setup for the Zone will be at 10am and the Zone will be open to everyone from 11am-12:45pm at which time the marching band will parade everyone over to the stadium for the game. Activities in the Zone include face painting, sign making and a t-shirt sale. Students who attend will have a chance to win a giveaway. Shuttles will be running from Main Campus to North Campus throughout all of these activities. Also, at North Campus there will be grilling tents that can be reserved through athletics. After all of this fun, the excitement begins with the football game. GO CHARGERS! For more information about homecoming: http://www.newhaven.edu/alumni/31543/.
