SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – University of New Haven freshman men’s basketball player Justin Exum has been named to the 2010-11 Northeast-10 Conference All-Rookie Team which was announce by the conference on Friday.
Exum helped lead the Chargers this season with 14.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He chipped in with 2.9 three-pointers and 2.7 assists per game in his first season. Exum ranks second in the NE-10 in three-pointers and is the second-ranked freshman in the category in all of NCAA Division II. The Brooklyn, N.Y. native shot 38.1-percent from long range and 37-percent from the floor.
The Chargers concluded the 2010-11 season on Wednesday with a 73-71 victory over Adelphi at Charger Gymnasium. With the win, New Haven finished the season winning five of its last 10 games and with an 8-18 overall record.
