As the semester’s end draws nearer, students have much to look forward to. There’s the allure of summer and hitting the beach with friends, spring weekend with the carnival and concert, for some a crawl down Campbell, and soon seniors will be saying farewell to Bartels food forever. Before you resign yourself to camping in the library, though, there’s still one event you’re sure to enjoy: EE Day.
Experiential Education Day was started six years ago and has remained true to its roots. The event was created in order to showcase what UNH students are really doing to help them grow professionally and as individuals. The four pillars of Experiential Education are all represented and each is celebrated by awards given to staff, students, and even community partners. Those who have participated in an internship, research, study abroad program, or academic-service learning will have displays commemorating their experience.
Join the Office for International & Experiential Education to celebrate the accomplishments of your peers next Thursday April 26 from 12:00-2:30 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge. Learn about Bethany Hanson’s internship with the Irish Parliament in Dublin, Kristine Crespo’s research on sex crimes, and Eric Hoyt’s studies in China (just to name a few).
There will also be some big prizes and giveaways (including a free parking spot and a Keurig), as well as an opportunity to learn about what you can do to Experience Adventure for yourself.
