WEST HAVEN–The New Haven Chapter of the Delta Chi Fraternity attended their 56th International Convention this past July in Las Vegas, Nevada, and it was a tremendous educational and thrilling time for all the brothers.
Juniors James Walsh and Samuel Cox were in attendance as delegates and fellow alumni Daniel Hunt, Anthony Maisano, and founder Tom Viola were there as well. They spent four days at the Riviera Hotel and Casino attending many business and educational sessions in their conference halls and meeting many brothers from all across North America.
Every year, the International Headquarters awards chapters with outstanding chapter operations and New Haven was awarded with seven, ranging from Outstanding Secretary (Samuel Cox), Outstanding Alumni Secretary (Dave Meehl), Outstanding ABT, and Outstanding Intramural program to name a few. The brothers were also among the top ten chapters in the nation who raised the most money for the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
The brothers are looking to start the semester off strong with many campus and social activities already in the works. The brothers will be attending the ALS walk in September at Salvin Rock. We are also looking forward to helping out the West Haven community by participating in BINGO nights and volunteering at the soup kitchen.
Watch out for sign-ups in the student center for their American Red Cross Blood Drive at the German Club in October.
