On April 10, the University of New Haven International Student Association (ISA) will host the university’s 30th annual International Festival, featuring displays from over 20 countries and UNH clubs, student performers, and foods from around the world. Participating countries and clubs include Afghanistan, China, Russia, the United States of America (represented by the Graduate Student Council), India, Saudi Arabia, Latin-American Student Association, Caribbean Student Association, Libya, Korea, Malaysia, Iran, Turkey, Sri Lanka and more. The event, which is open to the public, costs $5 for UNH students and $10 for general admission.
The UNH International Student Association was founded to give international students a voice in student government, as well as an opportunity to add diversity to campus events and activities. ISA represents all international students and provides a platform from which their concerns are voiced and heard. It is based on the promotion of friendship through a cross-cultural exchange among students. ISA offers students the opportunity to learn about the cultural heritage, traditions and lifestyles of people around the world.
