WEST HAVEN–As an institution of higher education, UNH operates under academic, social, and community standards that represent the values, beliefs, and aspirations of the university community. These standards were recently condensed into a statement that encompasses what we believe are the shared values and beliefs of the UNH community.

Developed with the input of students, faculty, and staff, this statement represents expectations on how we interact within our community.

This week you will be introduced to this statement, which has been named the Charger Compact. The six statements that make up this compact are a clear way of articulating the many values, beliefs, and expectations of our community in a philosophical and aspirational format. Please take the time to review the statements displayed around campus, and let us know what those statements mean to you by e-mailing [email protected]. We will incorporate your feedback to into explanation of the statements themselves, and how they relate to what it means to be at UNH.

Promoting a positive, accepting, and bias free learning environment is one of the main objectives of the Charger Compact.
