DEVELOPING STORY
Reports of “brown water” have been coming from various buildings around campus. Below is an email sent to Winchester residents on the issue:
“The Office of Residential Life is aware of the current water situation. The water company is doing work on an adjacent street and is flushing the water system. This causes sediment (minerals, dirt,etc.) to mix into the water turning it brown. This is really harmless, but hold off on drinking it for now. In a few hours they should be finished doing work and the water will go back to normal.
The university was unaware of the work that would be going on and we apologize for the inconvenience.”
