The Mad Hatter made an appearance on campus for one of the last SCOPE Day Programming events of the year. On Tuesday, April 10 in the Bartels Programming Space from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Day Programming was celebrating birthdays.
There was so much going on in the Programming Space that students were not sure what to do first. On one side, students were able to decorate their own Mad Hatter hats. There were many different colors of hats that students could choose from and many different craft supplies they could use to decorate them. Students were leaving with pipe cleaners and tissue paper all over their hats and each one was different and unique in its own way.
Another birthday related novelty that was there was Birthday Chronicles. With this novelty students were able to get major events, deaths, and more that happened on their birthday throughout history printed on a fancy piece of paper. Students were amazed about what really happened on their birthday.
And the last thing that was available at the event was a Numerologist. The Numerologist was able to read your personality and a little bit of your future from getting your full name, including middle name, and your birthdate. Students were very surprised what the Numerologist was able to tell about each individual from just their name and some numbers. He guessed peoples personalities down to a tee and gave them some good advice on how to handle their future and either take some risks and when to broaden their personal bubble.
Students walked away with some great new hats, some great history that happened on their birthday, and some great advice, because who couldn’t use all of that.
