Just after 11pm on Friday, September 4, 2009, two students reported that they were robbed at gunpoint by two unknown black male (B/M) subjects in the Homeside Ave. area. Homeside Ave. runs west from Isadore St. on the north side of Forest Hills. Students were walking when confronted by two subjects, one of whom displayed a small black handgun. Wallets and cell phones were stolen. No shots were fired and no injuries were sustained. Suspects were last seen running west on Homeside Ave.
The West Haven Police Department is investigating the incident and a canine is now being used in an attempt to track the suspects.
One suspect is described as wearing a black sweatshirt, black baseball cap, black ski mask and jeans (it was this subject who displayed the weapon). The only description of the second suspect is that he was wearing a white sweatshirt.
All necessary precautions are being taken on campus.
