Zani’s Rules of Order

Zani Imetovski

Rule #11: Never be overly optimistic or overly pessimistic, strive to be cautiously optimistic when you are in a competition.

Too often we get too optimistic and end up not trying so hard because we think we have already won. Or, we become too pessimistic and again do not try that hard because we think we’ve lost. Cautiously optimistic means winning is possible but only if you work hard to achieve it, and even then winning is not guaranteed.
