Israel Estrada, Contributing Writer
Israel Estrada is a California native in town to earn a Master of Science in Emergency Management. Born and raised in California, Israel joined the United States Marine Corps immediately upon graduating high school. Upon leaving active duty as a Sergeant, Israel decided to take some time off to travel the world. To date he has lived in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Before coming to the University of New Haven, Israel earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Los Angeles. Nowadays Israel is involved at UNH with the Charger Bulletin, and the Ski and Snowboard Club, and volunteers with Team Rubicon, an organization dedicated to rapidly deploying as responders to catastrophes throughout the world to helping those affected get back on their feet as quickly as possible. Israel enjoys boxing, CrossFit, and dancing Salsa when the opportunity arises, along with reading biographies, history, and watching movies.
