Sock-Off to the Election

Four years ago, NBC was the first news outlet to announce that Barack Obama had been re-elected to serve as the President of the United States at approximately 11:12 at night. Who will it call it first this year?

The communication department at the University of New Haven is sponsoring an “Election Sock Off,” in light of the 2016 presidential election presenting students the opportunity to make their predictions on which news outlet will call the election first for a low price of donating a pair of new socks.

All socks donated will be given to the Columbus House, which serves the people of New Haven currently experiencing homelessness.

Whoever guesses the right time and network will win fun prizes and bragging rights.

Students can bring their socks and cast their predictions in Professor Susan Campbell’s office at Maxcy 102A.
