Red is an America action comedy loosely based on DC’s comics three issue limited series of the same name. The comic, created by Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner, has been transformed to a film starring Bruce Willis, Mary-Louise Parker, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, and John Malkovich. It was directed by Robert Schwentke.

Red, derived from the stamp on Frank Moses’ (Willis) CIA retiree file meaning “retired, extremely dangerous”, Moses and his retiree friends are the target of a CIA hit in their “relaxing’ retired days. As former black ops agents, Moses and his colleagues work to uncover their target and unravel trails of lies from over 30 years ago. Eager to keep their new lives, and find out the mysteries behind their death wish, this squad mission leads them all the way around the country to the White House.

With a 70% rating on and $43.5 billion in box office revenue, this action, love story comedy was a film great for both halves of a couple. So don’t be afraid to take your girlfriends to this action flick boys.
