Earlier this week, the USGA released the applications to become a USGA Media Head. There are six media head positions, two within each of the three medias. The USGA Medias are SCOPE, the Chariot Yearbook, and The Charger Bulletin. If you are at all interested in becoming a media head I would recommend that you contact the media you would like to apply for and ask about the specific requirements for each position.
Applications can be found on ChargerVoice.com on the Forms page.
Today also marks your last chance to apply for the position of USGA President, USGA Treasurer, or USGA Senator. Applications are on the Forms page of ChargerVoice.com at the very top of the page! If you are still interested, you better hurry up because the applications close later today!
This past Friday, the USGA executive board had the pleasure of meeting with the officers of the university. The officers are the president, provost, many of the vice presidents, and a select few deans, and are responsible for the highest level of decision making for the university. We were able to address several concerns that we had about next year and the rest of this current year. We were also given the opportunity to ask questions on what the university has planned for the summer months and the fall semester in terms of construction.
As of now, the university is planning to begin construction of the Henry C. Lee building which will be located between Bartels Hall and Maxcy Hall. Renovations of the Echlin Dining Hall are also slated to begin. While many of the plans have yet to be finalized, students should expect a very busy area of campus next fall. If you are interested in knowing more about our meeting I would encourage you to e-mail me at [email protected].
