Class is in session, and so are The Feds. The Financial Aid Office’s student worker(s), also known as ‘The Feds’, are here and ready to start the new school year off on the right foot. Who are the Feds? We are student workers! Our job is to reach out to students, to answer basic questions about financial aid, and to keep everyone updated on important financial aid information (especially deadlines). This year we have one Graduate Student Worker—our Graduate Assistant, Glory!
Glory will be working diligently to provide you with all the information you need for the 2016-17 academic year! She will be writing articles for the Charger Bulletin and making sure that important announcements are heard on the radio station. Glory is a fan of free money, just as you should be. Thus the Financial Aid Blackboard Outside Scholarships page and the Outside Scholarship binders in the Financial Aid Office (located on the bookshelf down the hall to your right when you enter Bergami Hall) will be updated throughout the year. Glory is also in charge of updating the Financial Aid Facebook page and Twitter page. “Like” and “Follow” these pages for frequent updates throughout the year, interesting articles for you to read, scholarship information, and reminders of important deadlines.
Along with the Facebook and Twitter pages, flyers with super important information will be hung around campus! For example, there will be a lot of information regarding the FAFSA rolling out within the next few weeks, including the NEW release date and deadline for current UNH students. Reminders and other necessary financial aid information will also be sent out via your UNH e-mail, thus it is crucial that you check your UNH e-mail regularly. Forwarding said e-mail(s) to your parent/guardian is under your discretion.
You can e-mail us at [email protected] regarding information you see in the Charger Bulletin, hear on the radio, see on flyers around campus, or read on Facebook and Twitter. Please do not include any personal information in any emails to the Feds account, as it is monitored by students. Our new office location is in Bergami Hall. Stop by and we will be happy to help you!
Best Wishes and Happy Fall,
The Feds.
