The blue and gold stadium at North Campus was dedicated DellaCamera Stadium. It was previously Dodds Stadium before undergoing a two-year renovation prior to the 2009 season.


September 27, 1997.

Bixler and Botwinik Residential Halls were dedicated in a ceremony that was open to the entire campus community. Following the ceremony was a buffet brunch in the “new residential hall quadrangle”, according to the Charger Bulletin.


Parents Weekend, 1997.

A section of bleachers at the former Dodds Stadium at North Campus collapsed before the start of the football game against Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Several members of the visiting marching band were injured and taken to the hospital, according to September 30, 1997’s issue of the Charger Bulletin.
