RECSports: Highlights of the Semester

Group X classes are in full swing and the highlight of the season has to be Kickboxing with Antoinette. In kickboxing you get to de-stress by kicking and punching your way to a leaner you. Burn calories and have a blast while increasing your endurance. Worried about missing the first few weeks, Don’t! You can jump right into the class starting any week. So, if you haven’t attended one of the kickboxing classes I recommend you do. Gloves are required, but don’t worry you can pick them up at the Equipment Services Desk for only $20. Kickboxing is offered Mon. nights, Wed. nights, and Sat. That’s right, some Group X classes are now being offered on Saturdays. Want to get involved in REC Sports, but missed the season sign up? Join the REC Sports Racquetball Ladder. You can join anytime throughout the semester. To stay in the ladder you only need to play one game a month, but you can always play more. To sign up, stop by the Equipment Services Desk. Also, check out the many one day tournaments REC Sports is offering including the up coming Ultimate Frisbee tournament on Fri. Oct. 10. Registration for Frisbee is going on now at the equipment services desk.

While at the Rec Center, be sure to take a break and hang out with a game of ping pong, learn about all the campus recreation programs on the lobby television or check your email on one of the Mac computers upstairs, or play some board games such as Yahtzee and Monopoly with your friends.

And be sure to stop and get a delicious (and nutricious!) smoothie! Nrgize Juice Bar is open 11 hours a day! Don’t forget to stop in before, during, or after your work out for a delicious smoothie or meal replacement.
