The Charger Bulletin

Liana Teixeira


Liana Teixeira is a senior majoring in Political Science with a minor in Journalism at the University of New Haven. She grew up in West Haven, Connecticut.

Liana became involved with The Charger Bulletin during her freshman year when she wrote weekly news articles. Half-way through her freshman year, she began writing a weekly book review titled ‘Liana’s Literary Commentary,’ which gave brief summaries and critiques of books of various genres. During her sophomore year, she continued working with the Bulletin and was appointed to the position of Assistant Editor for 2012-2013.

After one year serving as Assistant Editor, Liana was appointed as Editor-in-Chief for the 2013-2014 school year.

Outside of the Bulletin, Liana remains very involved on campus. She is the Co-Captain of the UNH Mock Trial Team, president of the Elm City Review magazine, a writer for the Honors Student Newsletter and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society as well as the Lambda Pi Eta Communications Honors Society.

Liana plans to pursue a career in news/magazine editing and journalism.
