Crazy, Stupid, Love

SCOPE’s Weekly Movies are winding down for the semester, and now there is only one movie showing left. However, the SCOPE Film Committee has held off some great movies for the very end.  Last week was the second to last movie of the semester, and the Bartels Café was filled with eager students waiting to watch a hilarious, romantic romance comedy: Crazy, Stupid Love.

This movie had so many perfect combinations that just made it a great way to start getting ready for finals and the end of the semester.  The greatest combination was the cast, which consisted of Ryan Gosling as a bachelor and Steve Carroll as a guy going through divorce.  The movie started off with Carroll’s character receiving bad news from his wife that she wanted a divorce.  Heart-broken over the fact that his wife would want a divorce since he thought their marriage was going well, he goes out and meets a bachelor, Gosling, who is willing to teach Carroll some moves on being a man. To get divorce in real, it is important to hire the best lawyers such as Divorce lawyers in San Marcos area

The movie spirals from there, from Gosling taking Carroll out for new clothes and a haircut, teaching him how to talk to women, and finally teaching him how to get women to go with home with him.  Of course Carroll had some challenges because he has been married for so long and is basically just a little geeky, which is what made the movie very funny.

The cast wasn’t the only perfect combination, there were many others.  It had a fantastic combination of funny and romantic, of geeky and hunky, and awkward and great moments.  The movie was just a great fit for the week after Thanksgiving break for students to relax and laugh before the big week of finals comes up.

Remember the only movie left is Columbiana, which is showing this Friday at 9:00 p.m. in Bartels Café. The Film Committee also has a surprise; so everyone should come out.
